Creating Impact Through Innovation, Excellence, and Heart

David Pisor’s journey is rooted in inspiration from his grandfather — a business consultant who believed in the emotional intelligence of leadership. That ethos of thoughtful, human-centric leadership continues to guide David's career as a leading force in hospitality and real estate development.

David is the co-founder of What If Syndicate, the culinary group behind acclaimed concepts like Etta and Maple & Ash. His development of the Elysian Hotel earned accolades including two Michelin stars for its restaurant and a #1 U.S. hotel ranking by Condé Nast Traveler. He has also collaborated with iconic figures like Tommy Hilfiger on high-profile projects such as The Raleigh Hotel in Miami.

David’s values are clear: say what you’re going to do, do it well, and always treat people with respect. These principles have led him to build and sell four successful companies — a testament to his business acumen and relentless drive. Beyond his professional achievements, David is a devoted family man with four children and a passion for wellness, clean food, and walking through life — literally — one thoughtful step at a time.

Previously a board member at Steppenwolf Theatre and Lurie Children’s Hospital, David is now focused on raising awareness about food quality and the importance of provenance in the American food supply.

Success to him? It’s not just about money. It’s about freedom, family, and making meaningful choices.
